Udupi: The pregnant woman was emotionally sendoff by the district adminstration, traditionally, by offering jasmine flowers, fruits and sweets.
District Collector G. Jagadish and SP Vishnuvardhan gave the woman a dessert while District Panchayat Chief Operating Officer Preity Gehlot gave the jasmine flower and fresh fruits.
Then a pregnant woman said that she had so much fear before she came here. After coming here, the doctors and nurses took away my fears and gave me courage. I have been very supportive here. I have received the best kind of treatment here. I felt like being treated at home. Currently, I am fully healed. If it is God, I will come to my childbirth attire. The woman thanked all the doctors, nurses and all the staff at the district administration and Covid hospital who treated her.
District Collector G.Jagadeesh said, "Good day for Udupi district today. Corona has completely healed the affected pregnant woman and has increased the prestige of Udupi. In Uttara Kannada district, the patient, who had decided that it was impossible to treat a coronavirus had initially refused treatment in the Udupi district, but on the advice of the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary, the case was successfully challenged and the pregnant woman was given successful treatment and she along with her child at womb was protected”. He said the entire KMC hospital team was doing well and congratulated KMC hospital on behalf of the district.
In the program, DHO Dr. Sudheer Chandra Sooda, District Covid Nodel Officer Dr. Prashant Bhat, District Surveyor, Dr. Vasudeva Upadhyay, Dr Avinash Shetty, Medical Superintendent of KMC, Dr. Kavid Hospital Shashi Kiran and Covid Hospital staff were present.
The woman was admitted to Udupi District Covid Hospital on April 9, her first test report was negative on April 21 and a second test report was released on April 23 which was also negative and released on April 24 (today).
