Mangalore: The head of the department of physics, Dr. A Harisha has been appointed as the Principal (in-charge) of the University College Mangaluru, an affiliated college of the Mangalore University. He has been teaching physics for nearly 37 years in the same institution.
Dr. A Harisha graduated from Mangalore University with a M.Sc. in 1983 and a doctorate from the Mangalore University in 2012. More than 6 of his research papers have been published in reputed international research journals. He has been the convener of the university's internal assessment committee and the deputy director of the student associations for past 8 years. Dr.
Harisha is originally from Arikady of Kerala. He is also an old student of B.E.M High School, Kasaragod and St. Aloysius College, Mangalore. He has been appointed to the post after the completion of a successful term by Dr. Uday Kumar M A.
