Uttar Pradesh: A Muslim youth brutally beheaded a married Hindu woman with whom he was in a live-in relationship in Haryana's Yamunanagar. After killing her, he dismembered her body and dumped it at various places. The accused has been identified as 27-year-old Bilal, a resident of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Bilal, a taxi driver, lived in Nakur and was living with 30-year-old Uma in a rented house in Gangotri Colony. On December 7, the police had recovered Uma's decapitated body in Haryana's Yamunanagar. Uma was already married and has an 8-year-old son. Bilal was in a live-in relationship with Uma for two years. Meanwhile, Bilal was engaged to another woman on December 14. After that, Bilal had planned to kill Uma. On December 6, he took Uma in his car on the pretext of going for a drive. He entered Haryana through the bridge connecting Uttar Pradesh and Haryana at Hatnikund Barrage.

He parked the car in a forest on the border of Bahadurpur village in Pratapnagar and sat in the back seat of the car. While Uma was sitting in the front seat, Bilal suddenly strangled her with his seat belt. At this time, Uma tried her best to save her life. But to no avail. Then Bilal took Uma's body out of the car near Poplar Nursery and cut off her head with a meat cleaver. Then he removed her clothes to hide her identity, put her head in a bag and moved on. Bilal left Uma's body behind and threw her head and clothes into the Laldhang ditch in the Kalesar forest on the Haryana-Himachal border.

After Bilal, he took an alternate route and returned home via the Hatnikund Barrage Bridge. Bilal had deleted Uma's phone number. He removed all information related to her from his phone. He then started preparations for his wedding, which was scheduled for December 14. But the police tracked him down even before the wedding ceremony. CCTV cameras at the spot where the body was found showed Bilal's car. The police then started an investigation. On December 13, they went to Bilal's house and arrested Bilal. During interrogation, the accused confessed to his crime.
