New Delhi, Sept 12: Vedic Scholar and social activist Agnivesh Swamiji passed away on Friday, September 11 at 6.55 pm.
He had suffered multiple organ failure. His health was deteriorated over the past few years.
Swamiji was former Hryana MLA and he is best known for his fight against 'forced labor' through the Bonded Labor Liberation Front, founded in 1981.
Swamiji was Indian Religious thinker, despite some philosophical disagreements he had a good relationship with everyone.
In 2014 he had taken part in Parliamentary of the World's Religions which was held in Toranto Canada.
He was born on September 21, 1939, Andhra Pradesh, his original name is Vepa Shyam Rao he had completed his education from Calcutta University.
On the demise of Swami Agnivesh Dr. Swastishree Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Panditacharya Varya Maha Swamiji Sri Digambara Jain Math Moodabidir in his condolence message says" With his death, we have lost a person with the vision of having universal equality. May his soul rest in peace and we pray that let god give their family and near ones, the strength to endure the misery of parting of the divine soul."
