Udupi, May 15: An incident occurred near Agumbe on the night of May 13, when a rider died after an electric wire fell on him. The deceased has been identified as young Yakshagana artist Ranjith Bannadi. Ranjith was on his way home on his bike after the Suralu Mela performance near Koppa was cancelled due to rain.
It is said that due to heavy rain, an electric wire broke and Ranjith, who was riding his bike, fell on him.
