Moodubidire: The release of the Tulu book “Bollilu” authored by Raymond D’Cunha Taccode and his hometown felicitation were held on March 22 at the Samaja Mandir. The event was jointly organized by Tulu Koota, Working Journalists’ Association, Press Club, Tribhuvan JCI, Senior Chamber, Rotary Club of Temple Town, Taccode Fans Association, and Rickshaw Drivers & Owners Association.






The program began with a poetry session by emerging short poets. Trustee of Alva’s Education Foundation, Vivek Alva, released the book and conveyed his best wishes to Raymond D’Cunha for his achievements in various fields. He said, “Tulu is our language. It is a matter of pride that such a work has been released in Tulu script in his hometown. Youth and students should actively participate in such literary programs. Artificial intelligence cannot provide all knowledge; the knowledge imparted by writers is invaluable. Therefore, the importance of literature and writers is immense.”
Geetha Laxmish Shetty introduced the work “Nalodi Bollilu.”
Presiding over the function, K. Abhayachandra Jain, in his address, said, “When one works with dedication in knowledge, ethics, and honesty, such honors come naturally. My association with Raymond D’Cunha goes back a long time. His simplicity and sincerity have made him a distinguished personality and a journalist”
Chandrahass Devadiga, Albert D’Almeida, Naveen Salian, Seetharam Acharya, Sudhakar Shetty, Rajesh, Dhanakeerthi Balipa, Pushparaj, Pratap, and Anantaveera were present on the dais.
