Karachi: A former cricketer’s son is facing arrest and has been detained by the police on charges of raping his domestic helper.
Former Pakistan spinner Abdul Qadir’s son Suleman has been accused of rape and has been accused of sexually assaulting his own domestic helper.
The victim has filed an FIR and the police, who have registered a rape case on the basis of the woman’s complaint, have taken the accused Suleman into custody and subjected him to a medical examination.

According to a report by news agency PTI, the victim was working at Suleman’s house. At that time, Suleman forcibly took the victim to his garden house on the pretext of work.
The woman said that he raped her there. The woman has alleged in her complaint that he sexually assaulted her without letting her go despite repeated requests.
Accused in custody
The accused, Suleman, has been taken into police custody. After the complaint, the woman underwent a medical examination, which confirmed rape, a police officer said.
Suleman, himself a cricketer
The 41-year-old Suleman played 26 first-class matches and 40 List A matches between 2005 and 2013. His father, Abdul Qadir, is considered one of the world’s greatest leg-spinners.
Abdul has played 67 Test matches for Pakistan and represented Pakistan in 104 ODIs. Abdul is known for reviving leg-spin in the 1980s.
