Kozhikode, January 30: Rajya Sabha MP and Indian Olympic Association President Dr. P.T. Usha’s husband V. Srinivasan (64) passed away in the early hours of Friday. He collapsed at his residence in Thikkodi Perumalpuram around 1 am. He was taken to a nearby private hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Usha was not at home at the time of the incident. She was in Delhi to attend the Parliament session and returned to her hometown as soon as she heard the news. Srinivasan is the son of Narayanan and Sarojini of Vengali Tharavad in Kuttikkad, Ponnani and was a retired Deputy SP in the Central Industrial Security Force.
He married his distant relative P.T. Usha in 1991. The couple had Dr. He has a son named Ujjwal Vignesh.
Prime Minister Modi condoles Prime Minister Narendra Modi called P.T. Usha and expressed his condolences.
