Bangalore:- Second Corona virus wave hits Bangalore central prison.

Bangalore:- On Saturday night (11-07-2020) in Bangalore 32 under trials, including   a woman prisoner, lodged in the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison tested positive for Covid 19.

 According to Prison officials, all the infected were arrested in the last 20 days. The under trials were accommodated in a separate block in the jail.

Sunday morning the male prisoners were shifted to Hajbhavan while the female under trial was taken to the Sri Ravi Shankar Ayurveda hospital.

This was the second infection at the jail. On July 2^nd around 20 prisoners and 6 staffs had tested positive  for the virus. Jail officials have said they have taken preventive measure to ensure  that other prisoner  don’t get infected.

Mean while, 11 cops at police stations across Bangalore tested positive for Covid 19 on Sunday and they were shifted to hospitals for treatment.
