Bangaluru ,April, 14: Veteran actor Bank Janardhan, who acted in more than 500 films, has passed away at midnight in a private hospital in Bengaluru. 75-year-old Bank Janardhan was suffering from age-related illness. In this context, his family admitted him to Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru. He was recognized as a supporting actor in Chandanavana and had acted in more than 500 films.
He had a heart attack on September 26, 2023. He later recovered after treatment. Born in Bengaluru in 1948, Bank Janardhan was active in the film industry until 1991. After that, he stayed away from the world of color.
Janardhan has acted in more than 500 films including Upendra's Sh, Tarle Nan Maga, Belliappa Bangarappa, Jee Boomba, Ganesh Subramanya, Kaurava. Bank Janardhan has worked in both big screen and television.
Bank Janardhan had also acted in the serials Papa Pandu, Jokali, Robo Family, and Mangalya. Born in Bangalore in 1948, Bank Janardhan had completed all his education in Bangalore. He earned a great reputation as a theatre artist and was popular after acting in more than 60 Kannada films and TV serials.
He was recognized as a comedian in the Kannada film industry, acting not only with his contemporaries Doddanna and Tennis Krishna, but also with comedians who came after him, such as Sadhukokila and Bullet Prakash, and many others. People still remember his roles in the films News (2005), Sh (1993), and Tarle Nanmag (1992).
