Panaji, March 11: A shocking incident took place in Panaji, Goa, where a five-year-old girl was sacrificed and buried based on the advice of a shaman. An official confirmed that a couple has been arrested in connection with the case.
Babasaheb Alar (52) and his wife Pooja (45) are the accused in this crime. Babasaheb and Pooja had no children. He confided his problems to a shaman, who advised him to sacrifice a child. During the investigation, it was revealed that the couple acted on this advice.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shivaram Vaigaonkar said that the parents had filed a complaint about the child's disappearance on Wednesday. Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, it was discovered that the child had entered the house of the accused but did not come out. During interrogation, the childless couple admitted to murdering the girl on the advice of the magician.
The couple claimed that they believed the child sacrifice would solve their problems. During questioning, they told the police that they had buried the body in the compound.
The police have registered a case of murder and destruction of evidence against the couple in connection with the incident.
