Mangalore:- The course inauguration of the 18th Batch of GNM, 17th Batch of B.Sc.(N), 12th Batch  of M.Sc.(N), 4th Batch of B.Sc. Renal Dialysis Technology, 1st Batch of B.Sc Imaging Technology, 1st Batch of B.Sc Medical laboratory Technology, 1st Batch of B.Sc Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology was held on 22nd  December 2020 at 10 am  in the Athena College Auditorium.

   The programme commenced with the prayer service led by Sharlet Dsouza , Associate Professor, Athena college of nursing and her team. Charishma Veigas , Assistant lecturer welcomed the gathering which was followed by lamp lighting that marked the inauguration of the course.

       Sr. Deepa Peter , principal Athena college of nursing briefed about the course and she focused on quality education and overall development of the students. Freshers of various batches were introduced to the audience by their class coordinators. As a part of Christmas celebration students of 2nd year B.Sc.(N) sang carols and 2nd year GNM played  Christmas tableau.

     In the presidential address R.S Shettian , chairman Athena institute of  health sciences welcomed all new students to the institution and congratulated  them for selecting the  college. He assured management support in all the curricular and non curricular activities.  Priya Carnelio, assistant lecturer   proposed the vote of thanks to all for gracing the occasion by their solemn presence. 

Asha Shettian, secretary of Athena Institute Of Health Sciences, Winnie Crasta, Nursing Superintendent and Dr. Sr. Alphonsa Ancheril, Dean of Athena college of allied sciences were present on the dias. Programme came to the end by the Institutional Anthem. The whole programme was compered  by Pramila Cutinha Assistant Lecturer and Shwetha Karkera Assistant Lecturer.
