Kasaragod, Jan 23: An incident of arson involving a fishing boat and equipment was reported on Thursday morning in Muttam, near Kumble.
Miscreants destroyed the boat, engine, nets, and other equipment owned by Keertesh Damodaran by setting fire to them.
According to the Kumble police station, the incident was reported by fishermen who had gone out in the morning and, upon returning, informed the owner of the damage.
The police have reached the scene and have launched an investigation into the matter.
