Mumbai, Jan 23: At least 11 passengers were killed when the Karnataka Express, coming from the opposite direction, ran over passengers who had gotten off the train and were standing on the tracks. This occurred due to rumors that the train had caught fire in Maharashtra's Jalgaon.

The accident took place between Maheji and Pardhade stations, near Pachora, around 400 km from Mumbai.
