Haryana, Dec 15: Several vehicles were involved in two major accidents on Haryana highways yesterday morning due to heavy fog, injuring several passengers.

A series of accidents occurred at Dhiktana Moda on National Highway 52 in Hisar, Haryana around 8 am. Two Haryana Road Transport buses, a dumper truck, several cars and two-wheelers collided one after the other in a row, the video of which has gone viral on social media.

The incident took place after a Kaithal Road Transport bus collided with a dumper truck. Later, another state transport bus coming from behind collided with the already-accidental vehicles.

As the road visibility dropped to very low, a car and then a bike also got stuck. Hundreds of passengers were trapped in the accident. But there were no fatalities or injuries.

In a separate accident on National Highway 352 in Rewari, three to four buses collided due to poor visibility, resulting in damage to the buses. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Haryana has been gripped by severe cold wave conditions for the past few days, with the minimum temperature in many districts ranging between 4 degrees Celsius and 6 degrees Celsius, and continuous dense fog has posed a challenge to motorists.
