Hong Kong: A cargo plane arriving at Hong Kong International Airport from Dubai skidded off the runway into the sea while landing early Monday morning, killing two people.

The incident occurred at around 3.50am on Monday and the two people who died were said to have been on an airport vehicle at the time of the tragedy. The cargo plane was operating under an Emirates flight number, airport sources said. The airline did not immediately comment on the incident, Reuters reported.

All four crew members on board were rescued, including one of the airport staff. Another person is missing, airport officials said.

According to flight tracking service FlightRadar24, the plane that skidded off the runway and crashed was a Boeing 747 freighter. Following the accident, the airport closed the runway where the cargo plane skidded.
