Managalore, Nov. 25: The muhurat for the film "Mandali" was held on Friday in the presence of Urva Mariyamma of Mangalore. Special prayers were offered in the presence of Mariyamma Devi to ensure that the shooting of this film, produced by Dr. M.N. Rajendra Kumar's MNR Production Company, goes smoothly and that the film gains popularity
After offering prayers by placing the script of the film at the feet of the goddess, the priest offered prayers. In front of the temple, Dr. M.N. Rajendra Kumar officially started the shooting by turning on the camera.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, producer Dr. M.N. Rajendra Kumar said, "We have performed the muhurta for the Kannada film 'Vadiraja Valaga Mandali' at the Urva Mariyamma temple. We started the Kannada film with the view that special respect and opportunity should be given to the artists. This is a completely humorous family film. When there are worries etc. in the daily life of a person, humor gives peace to our mind. This film is being produced with this hope. After this is successful, the intention is to give opportunities to many Kannada artists," he said.
Film director Shashiraj Rao Kavoor said, "It has been my dream for many years to make a Kannada film. I had experience writing lyrics for several films. I had experience writing dialogues and co-directing several Tulu films. So I have decided to direct this film. This is my first Kannada film. I am confident that Kannadigas will receive it with great love. I had written the story for 'Vadiraja Valaga Mandali' long ago. Now the time has come for it to hit the screens. I am seeking your cooperation for the film, which is being made under MNR Production."

Bollapur Chandrasekharan. Actor Naveen D. Padil, theater artist, playwright Vijay Kumar Kodiyal Bail, MUD president Sadashiva Ullal, film artists and many others were present.
