Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister and Karnataka Congress leader Siddaramaiah has tested positive for corona virus. He has been admitted to Manipal Hospital Bengaluru at 3.30 am on August 4. He was also suffering from urinary tract infection.

After he was admitted to the hospital the covid test was performed. Then the reports were positive. It is also learnt that Siddaramaiah also has heart related issues and he had  undergone angioplasty in the past.

Taking this to twitter he said: "I have been tested positive for #Covid19 & also been admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors as a precaution. I request all those who had come in contact with me to check out for symptoms & to quarantine themselves,"


Both the current and past chief ministers of Karnataka stand admitted into the special wards of the hospital.
