Mangalore:- As per the MHRD guidelines received an awareness programme was arranged virtually for the PU students to help them cope up with the pandemic and the fear attached to it. The institution is all set to re-open following the protocol stated by the government. Dr. Priyadarshini Rai was the resource person who stressed on the need to wear mask regularly without any hesitation and to wash hands with a soap or a sanitizer very often. Social distancing in common areas as well as the classrooms is the need of the hour to keep ourselves as well as our neighbor free from infection she stated.
Residential students were asked not to panic and not to hide any form of illness and to report the same to the authority for further action. Students need to concentrate on their studies whether online or offline and shun off their fears about this virus. Dr. Priyadarshini Rai was appointed as the residential doctor for Shakthi group of institutions who would be catering to the need of boarders, staff and other students as well.
First Priority is given to cleanliness at Shakthi.
- Promoting best hand washing and hygiene practices and providing hygiene supplies; washing hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Cleaning and disinfecting school buildings, especially water and sanitation facilities.
- Daily cleaning of the floors, cleaning and regular disinfection using 1% sodium hypochlorite of frequently touched surfaces like the door knobs, elevator buttons, hand rails, chairs, benches, washroom fixtures, and deep cleaning of all drinking and hand washing stations, washrooms and lavatories is ensured.
