Puttur: In an initiative by the Government of Karnataka and Taluk PanchayathOffice,Puttur to boost electoral participation, the Dakshina Kannada Zilla SVEEP Committee, in collaboration with the Taluk SVEEP Committee of Puttur and the Government Women’s First Grade College, Puttur, hosted a ‘Voting Awareness Street Play.’ The event took place at the Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research, St Philomena College, Puttur. The play was directed by Mounesh Vishwakarma, a journalist and renowned director of ‘Samsara JoduMarga’. Taluka Panchayat SVEEP Committee officers Bharath Raj and Tulasi, and Dr Radhakrishna Gowda, Dean of the Department of Business Administration of the college, were present on the occasion. The performance featured students from the Government Women’s First Grade College Puttur, who delivered convincing portrayals that highlighted the significance of voting rights. 

Their performance powerfully conveyed that ‘students and society must be aware of their right to choose commendable candidates and make informed decisions in the elections,’ urging the audience to exercise their rights with integrity and self-respect.
