We all love this team for No reason, we all know this team has the great ability and big stalwarts

Fans Go Crazy for this team when they enter the field

Let's check out the reasons why?

a)Bating.

Heavily depend on Individual Performance: The team heavily relies on their top batsmen and bowlers, but, on occasions where none of these players have performed, the team didn't find support from the other men. And went on collapsing.

As a result, they have lacked the decent totals that were needed for the bowlers to produce something and give a fight.

b) Bowling.

And at times when the batsmen have provided a good total on the board (say about 170 or 180), the bowlers didn't bowl well and gave away runs pretty easily.

I've seen this happening all the time with RCB. They've played brilliantly in one department but played equally bad in the others.

But there have also been games when the team has performed as a complete unit and won by big margins, but those games are very less in number.

c) Consistency.

They win & win big for most of the season, but then I don't know happens to them.

They start losing. And then they keep on losing. And then they find themselves in a situation when they have to win the next 6 out of 7 games to qualify. They still manage to win a game or two here and there but till then the damage has already been done.

They don't convert their good starts into big streaks. I know it's tough, but if you are to win a tournament like IPL, then you need to be at your best. Always.

Consistency has always been an issue with RCB. In 2011, they finished the top of the table and went on to the finals.

d) Captaincy issues and staff issues.

It is proven that teams that change their captain and/or coach pretty often don't find it as a successful move. CSK has been led by Dhoni since its inception in 2008, Kolkata has had Gambhir for many years. And they've tasted success.

It was only in 2014 that ViratKohli was made the captain of the team. Before that it was Dravid, Pietersen, Kumble and then Kohli. This indirectly affected the performance of the team. Too many changes never work in cricket.

e) Lack of availability of players due to injuries and other contracts.

I feel RCB has suffered the most due to player injuries and players unavailable due to other national tours and contracts. Gayle was off due to injuries, Virat was off due to a hand injury, evenDeVilliers, Starc and Dale Steyn have faced injuries and left the season midway. Eoin Morgan left midway to play for national team. This affected the team's stability and replacements couldn't do much.

Losing Virat at the start of the season in 2017 and making Watson the interim captain didn't give a good start to the team. And thus, losses kept on piling up and there was no way back. Scores such as 49 all out also came up and the team ended up at the bottom of the table.

So, if there's anyone that's to be blamed, it’s RCB. (Players and the management). No one else.

What's the way ahead?

I think, RCB has played every season with great interest and have played it forgetting about their past.

They've been like a fresh unit in every season and looked good under Virat's captaincy. They seem to become stable and play aggressive cricket. So, I don't think they'll continue the same way and they'll surely win a title in the years to come.

And frankly speaking, they should win it. They deserve it. RCB can win it, for sure. Wait patiently, it's coming!
