One-and-a-half-year-old dies after falling coconut in Udupi

Brahmavar: There is no safer place in this world than a mother’s lap. However, the mother’s lap could not save the child from that cruel game of fate. A very heartbreaking incident took place in Chantaru Heranje village of Brahmavar taluk of Udupi district when a coconut accidentally fell on the cute one-and-a-half-year-old baby who was sitting on his mother’s lap and lost his life. This incident has plunged the entire village into an ocean of grief.

The second son of Prashant and Suchitra, residents of Chantaru Heranje village, Daksha (one and a half years old) has died. The parents never imagined that the life of the cute child, who gave love to the entire family with his innocent smile and stammering words, would end so soon.

When the mother Suchitra was holding the child near the house, a coconut fell from a nearby coconut tree and fell directly on the child’s head. The child, Daksha, was seriously injured and lost consciousness due to the big blow. The mother and family members were shocked and shocked by the incident. The child, who was in a pool of blood, was immediately admitted to the KMC Hospital in Manipal with the help of locals.

The doctors tried their best to save the child’s life and an emergency surgery was also performed. However, due to the severe head injury, the treatment was not effective and the little girl breathed her last. The parents’ tears were unbearable as soon as they heard the news that the child was no more. The house, which was filled with the child’s laughter, is now filled with a graveyard silence.

As soon as the news of this tragedy came to light, hundreds of villagers visited the child’s house and consoled the parents. People around Chanthar have rang out their bells. Officials from Brahmavar Police Station visited the spot, registered a case and took further legal action regarding the incident.
