A complaint has been filed with the Forest Department in this regard. Social activist Dinesh Kallahalli has filed a complaint seeking legal action against the couple who recently shared reels on social media wearing outfits made using peacock feathers.

Actors Kishan and Nivedita Gowda had made reels wearing peacock feather outfits four to five days ago. They had shared this on their social media accounts. Dinesh Kallahalli has mentioned in his complaint that making clothes using real peacock feathers, displaying them in public and circulating them on social media is a clear violation of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
Dinesh Kallahalli demands immediate investigation:
Dinesh has filed his complaint with the Kaggalipur Forest Range officials under the jurisdiction of the Bangalore Regional City Division. He has requested that senior officials be directed to file a complaint and conduct an investigation. He has also demanded that action be taken transparently without allowing any political influence or interference during the investigation period.
Key demands in the complaint:
Scientific verification: A technical verification of the viral videos and photographs should be conducted. Whether the feathers used in the clothes are real or artificial should be scientifically confirmed.
Seizure of clothes: If they are found to be real peacock feathers, the clothes used by Kishan and Nivedita Gowda should be seized immediately.
Trace the source: A thorough investigation should be conducted into the source, purchase, transportation and storage of the peacock feathers.
Action against the network: Statements of the relevant persons should be recorded and strict action should also be taken against the persons or institutions that supplied these feathers.
Special investigation: A special investigation should be conducted to find out if any illegal hunting, smuggling or wildlife crime has been committed with the aim of obtaining the peacock feathers.
