Fierce military attack, tension on Pak-Afghan border – 35 civilians killed

Kabul, June 29: Violence has broken out in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area, and more than 35 civilians, including children and the elderly, have been killed in a fierce ground operation carried out by security forces. The incident has raised diplomatic and border tensions between Islamabad and Kabul to a very serious level.

Recently, a fierce terrorist attack was carried out on the regional headquarters of the ‘Pakistan Rangers’ in Pakistan’s commercial city of Karachi. The Pakistani government had seriously accused Afghanistan-based militants of carrying out this attack. In response to this terrorist attack, Pakistani security forces had launched a massive and strict ground operation along the Afghan border.

More than 35 people have been killed in cross-border firing by Pakistani forces during this operation. Most of the dead are reported to be innocent children and elderly people who have done nothing wrong. However, the Pakistan army, which has defended the attack, has officially announced that it killed 35 people who were violating cross-border security in its operation.

This latest development has further intensified cross-border violence. The Afghan administration has expressed deep anger over the deaths of its citizens and is mobilizing military forces along the border. This tension between the two neighboring countries has posed a new challenge to the security of South Asia, and a high alert has been declared along the border.
