Andhra Pradesh, Oct 6: The Tirupati Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Andhra Pradesh, one of India’s wealthiest temples, attracts lakhs of devotees every year.

Substantial revenue flows into the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) treasury through the offerings made by devotees into the Venkateswara Swamy *Hundi* (offering box). In the first nine months of this year alone (January to September), the *Srivari Hundi* revenue reached a staggering ₹1,129.04 crore, setting a new record. With an average monthly inflow exceeding ₹125 crore, lakhs of devotees visiting Tirumala from across the country and abroad are generously making offerings as part of their vows and prayers.
All-time Record Revenue in July:
Among these nine months, the revenue recorded in July stands as the highest monthly income in TTD’s history. A sum of Rs.140.25 crore was collected in that single month. In July alone, over 24.52 lakh devotees had *Darshan* of Lord Srivari. It is noteworthy that the daily Hundi (offering box) collection crossed the Rs.5 crore mark on five separate occasions.
Month-wise Hundi revenue details (2026):
January: Rs.124.36 crore

Additionally, a record single-day collection of Rs.6.94 crore was recorded on September 10, marking the highest daily collection for the year.
Average daily footfall of 75,000 to 80,000 devotees:
On average, between 75,000 and 80,000 devotees visit Tirumala Hill daily for *Srivari Darshan*. With the rise in the number of devotees, records have been set not only in Hundi revenue but also in the sales of *Srivari Prasadam*—the famous ‘Laddu’. In the month of July alone, over 1.30 crore Laddus were prepared and distributed to devotees. The TTD Board has stated that the offerings made by devotees—in the form of cash, gold, silver, and foreign currency—are being utilized with complete transparency for the Lord’s services, religious programs, and the development of pilgrim amenities.
