Mangaluru: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office, Mangaluru, has promptly settled the social security benefits payable to the family of Late Manish Karkada, an EPF member who tragically lost his life in an industrial accident at Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) on 30th Sep.
The EPFO has settled the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) benefits payable to the family. Additionally, a monthly pension has been sanctioned and commenced. All the benefits were settled and commenced on 08.10.2026.
As a gesture of solidarity and support to the bereaved family, Sandeep Biswas, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, accompanied by Ankit Singh, Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner, and Anitha R, Enforcement Officer, visited the residence of Late Manish Karkada on 09.10.2026 and handed over the Pension Payment Order (PPO) to the beneficiary. The visit reflected EPFO’s compassionate approach and its commitment to standing by the families of its members during difficult times.
