Srinagar: Indian soldiers have already killed three terrorists in the ongoing operation against terrorists in the Chhatru area of Kishtwar, Kashmir. But the news of a four-legged soldier who participated in this operation is now making a lot of noise. Yes, the army’s sniffer dog Tyson detected the presence of terrorists before the soldiers and even though he was shot in the leg, he moved forward and gave the soldiers a hint of the presence of terrorists.

According to officials, the dog Tyson, belonging to 2 Para Special Forces, was the first to confirm the presence of terrorists in the operation area on Sunday morning. As the soldiers were advancing through dense terrain, the dog was reported to have been shot in the leg when it moved ahead of the soldiers to detect the hideout.
Although injured in the gunfire, Tyson stayed with the team and helped the troops to establish contact with the terrorists. The dog played a key role in guiding the soldiers to the hideout, officials said. Tyson was later airlifted to an army hospital in Udhampur. Currently, Tyson, a dog squad soldier, is in stable condition. He is recovering, a Jammu and Kashmir-based media reported.
Tyson has participated in several major military operations in the past. He has been trained to detect explosives, identify suspicious locations and help track down terrorists during search operations, army officials said. Tyson’s repeated visits have helped the soldiers locate hideouts in difficult terrain.
In a major success for security forces in the Kishtwar encounter, Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Saifullah was among the three terrorists killed in an operation in the Pasarkut area of the Chatruh sector. Saifullah, a Pakistani national, had been active in the Doda-Kishtwar area for years and was behind many attacks, security officials said.
The army said that several items, including weapons and ammunition, assault rifles, were recovered from the scene. The army said that the operation was a significant blow to the ongoing terrorist activity in the area.
