Bengaluru, Mar 12: With the heat rising in the state for the last few days, the Meteorological Department has given some relief to the people by forecasting rain. The Bengaluru Meteorological Center has said in its latest report that light rain is likely in various districts of the coastal and interior of the state from March 15.

Current weather condition:
According to the report of Dr. N. Puviyarasan, scientist at the Bengaluru Meteorological Center, the circulation of cyclonic winds is currently continuing in the Comorin region and its surrounding atmosphere. However, the circulation of the cyclone in the Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka has weakened. As a result, dry weather will continue in the state for the next two days, and temperatures will rise in the coast.
Hot weather on the coast:
In the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature in many parts of coastal Karnataka has increased by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal. The coastal districts will experience hot and humid weather for the next two days, and people have been advised to be cautious. On the other hand, the minimum temperature will be below normal in some parts of the north interior and it will be cold in the morning.
Rains to start from March 15:
From March 12 to 14, there will be dry weather across the state. However, there will be a change in the weather from March 15, and light rain is expected in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. On the same day, rain is likely to occur in one or two places in Kodagu, Mysore, Chikkamagaluru and Hassan districts of the south interior.
The area of rain will further expand on March 16. There is a hint of rain in Haveri, Gadag, Dharwad and Koppal districts of the north interior. Light rain has also been predicted in Bangalore City, Bangalore Rural, Shivamogga, Kolar, Chikkaballapur and Ramanagara districts of the south interior.
Bengaluru Weather:
The sky will be mostly clear in the capital Bengaluru for the next 48 hours, and there is no forecast of rain. The maximum temperature is likely to be recorded at 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 19 degrees Celsius. However, light rain is likely to occur in some parts of the city around March 16, providing some relief from the heat.
The Meteorological Department has said that rain is likely to continue in the southern interior districts of Kodagu, Mysore and Chamarajanagar on March 17 and 18. Overall, although there is no major change in the maximum and minimum temperatures in the state for the next five days, scattered showers will cool the land.
