Cairo, April 10: At least 30 civilians have been killed in a drone attack targeting a wedding ceremony in Sudan’s Darfur region.

The incident took place in the town of Kutum in North Darfur. The UN estimates that more than 40,000 people have been killed in the country’s nearly three-year conflict. The Sudanese armed forces have been blamed on social media for the attack.
“We condemn this attack and all other attacks on civilians,” Dujarric said. The Sudanese army did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
According to Emergency Lawyers, more people are being displaced by continuous drone attacks in the regions of South Kodofan, Blue Nile, East, Central and South Darfur since March. Last week, a drone attack also targeted a hospital in the south-central part of the country, killing at least 10 people.
