The shooting of “Vadiraaj Valaga Mandali”, an upcoming Kannada comedy film that promises a fresh experiment in the Kannada film industry, has been completed. The film has now moved into the post-production stage. Produced under the MNR Production banner, the movie stands out for its unique storyline, distinctive title, and the fresh looks of its cast. New experiments have always been welcomed in Kannada cinema, and this film is already drawing attention in that direction, building curiosity and expectations among movie lovers.
In the Press meet held at SCDCC Bank Head office Hampankatta, Producer Dr. M. N. Rajendrakumar addressing the media said “Shashiraj Kavoor, known for the popular song “Varaha Roopam”, is making his directorial debut with this film. He has taken responsibility for the story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction. The shooting was completed over approximately 50 days in two schedules. Currently, he is busy with editing, background score, and dubbing work.”
“The story of this film impressed me a lot. I agreed as soon as the director narrated it,” said a member of the team. Though the film carries the flavor of coastal Kannada, there is strong confidence that it will connect with audiences across the state. Blending comedy, emotional elements, and a social backdrop, the movie promises to be a complete entertainment package offering a fresh experience. It is designed as a family-friendly comedy suitable for all sections of the audience. There are also plans to release the film in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.”
“The film features a talented and popular ensemble of coastal artists. Naveen Padil, famous for Gundumama, plays a key role and is expected to entertain audiences with his signature performance. Popular artists like Prakash Tuminadu, Mime Ramdas, Deepak Rai Panaje, and Pushparaj Bollar will bring humor through diverse roles. Arjun Vedanth and Atharva Prakash play the lead roles, while Thanni Rao and Venya Rai appear as the female leads, adding glamour and emotional depth. Veteran actors including Lakshman Kumar Mallur and Shobharaj Pavoor are also part of the cast.”
“The film has been shot using the advanced ‘Arri LF’ camera, which has been used in big-budget films like Kantara and Pogaru. Experienced Tamil cinematographer S. Chandrashekharan has handled the camera work. Music is composed by Manikanth Kadri, known for Savari, adding a special charm to the songs. Stunt master Tiger Shivu has taken charge of action direction.”
Prominent singers from the Hindi film industry, including Sai Vighnesh and Mime Ramdas, have lent their voices to the songs.
Jayaprakash Tumbe is the co-producer, while Santosh Shetty serves as the executive producer. Rajesh Kudla and Karthik have worked as production managers.
Grand release in August:
Maintaining the authenticity of the coastal dialect while making it relatable to a wider audience, “Vadiraaj Valaga Mandali” is set for a statewide release in August. The film has already generated strong expectations among cinema lovers, and the team is confident of receiving a positive response upon release.
