IMD Warns Karnataka as Depression Forms Over Bay of Bengal

Bengaluru, May 29: The pre-monsoon rains that have intensified in the state due to the depression in the Bay of Bengal have intensified. Due to this, heavy rains are likely to occur for the next seven days.

The direct impact of the depression is on the coastal areas, and the sea waves in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts have increased significantly. Due to the intense speed of the storm, the sea has become rough, and as a precautionary measure, the district administrations have issued strict instructions to fishermen not to go into the sea for any reason.
