New Delhi, Jan 31: A fire accident has occurred in a godown in Anandpur, West Bengal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased. Also, Prime Minister Modi has announced a compensation of Rs 50,000 for the injured.


“The recent fire accident in Anandpur, West Bengal is very tragic and sad. My condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” Prime Minister Modi said.
A fire broke out in a Pushpanjali Decorators godown in West Bengal. It quickly spread to the adjacent godown operated by Vav Momo!, engulfing both the buildings. 25 people have died in this fire accident so far.
Kolkata Police Vav Momo! Warehouse manager Raja Chakraborty and deputy manager Manoranjan Shitve have been arrested.
