Belthangady: Chandappa Gowda (58), the father of murder and rape victim Sowjanya, a resident of Pangala in Dharmasthala village, has passed away following a brief illness.
Chandappa Gowda had worked as a contractor for the Public Works Department in Belthangady for several years. He had been unwell for some time, and two days ago, his health worsened, leading to hospitalization. Unfortunately, despite receiving treatment, he passed away today without responding to medical care.
He is survived by his father, wife, and four children.
