New Delhi: Union Health Minister Harshvardhan said the covid vaccine will be available within the next three to four months.
Addressing a webinar, he said we are confident the vaccine will be ready for Covid-19 infection in the next three to four months. Health workers and Covid Warriors will be given the Covid vaccine in the first phase.
Once the Covid vaccine is ready we are working on a systematic plan to distribute it across the country. He estimates that 400-500 million doses will be available to 25-30 million people in the country by July-August 2021.
Health workers and Covid Warriors will be given first priority when vaccinating. He said the vaccine would be distributed among seniors over 65 years of age, then 55 to 65 years of age.
