Mangalore: On August 5, Wednesday Ram temple Bhoomi pooja the much awaited event will take place at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. As a precautionary measure the commissioner of Mangalore Vikash Kumar has enforced sec 144 in the city.

City commissioner Vikash Kumar said that the many Hindu organization has organized programmes on this occasion of Bhoomi pooja on August 5. The information has been received regarding alleged protests that are being planned in the city  by Muslim organizations on August 5. In the past regarding this same issue there are many protests that have ended up with harm to the public property and also many deaths have occurred .

So keeping in mind the security of the public and city section 144 CRPC has been implemented from the evening of 4th of August at 8 pm to 6th of August morning 6 am.

During the implementation of the section More than 5 people are not supposed to gather in groups, Carrying weapons, swords, spears, knives, firearms, knives or cracking fireworks, or any kind of public rally, protest, strike or display any kind of images, posters, or images of dead person's or Making public declarations, singing, playing music, making a speech, using suggestions or symbols, and using images, symbols, which may violate the law or policy or impair public security or compromise state security; Prohibits the making, displaying or dissemination of posters or any other material or material are prohibited from doing
