New Delhi, Aug 04: A member of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba has claimed on camera that an unknown person killed around 30 members of his organisation inside Pakistan.
An unknown person has openly admitted on camera that he killed around 30 members of his organisation inside Pakistan. The video of this has gone viral on social media.
Although the government there has long been arguing that Lashkar-e-Taiba has been banned in Pakistan, a video of Rizwan Hanif, a terrorist associated with Lashkar, has now surfaced.
Hanif said in the video that many members of this banned organisation, which was responsible for the death of 166 people in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, have been killed in various parts of Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the last three to four years. More than 30 Lashkar-e-Taiba militants have been killed by an unknown person in Peshawar, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Rawalkot and Muzaffarabad.
This is the first time that a militant from the Lashkar organization, which was banned by the United Nations in 2005 for its links with Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, has publicly admitted to such killings.
In the video, Rizwan Hanif has alleged that the killings were carried out by Indian intelligence agencies. But India has categorically denied this allegation. On the other hand, the person in the video is a senior Lashkar terrorist wanted by India and the authenticity of the video has been verified by Indian security agencies. In this video, Rizwan Hanif is seen using objectionable and hateful language against Hinduism.
This highlights how terrorist organizations use religious sentiments to spread hatred and push people towards radicalization.
Recently, a series of killings of India’s most wanted terrorists have been taking place on Pakistani soil, and it is not known who the attackers are. Lashkar terrorists are accusing Indian intelligence agencies of organizing these attacks. However, the Pakistani government has not made any official statements on this.
