Ghaziabad, Oct 8: Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh stated that the Indian Air Force has evolved into an extraordinary, capable, network-centric, and multi-domain force.


Speaking at the 94th Air Force Day celebrations held at Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad, he affirmed that the IAF is prepared to tackle any challenge to the nation’s security. He noted that current global conflicts have proven air power to be a primary instrument in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and interests. He also paid tribute to the air warriors who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
A.P. Singh highlighted that the Indian Air Force has continuously enhanced its operational capabilities over the past 94 years. He remarked that various global conflicts have once again underscored the importance of air power in protecting national interests. He cited ‘Operation Sindhur’ as an instance where the IAF demonstrated its operational speed and capability. Success of ‘Operation Sindhur’:
Referring to ‘Operation Sindhur’, he lauded the mission for demonstrating the speed and precision of the Indian Air Force’s combat operations to the world.
Emotional remarks on the eve of retirement:
Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, who is set to retire on October 31, reflected, “Serving as the chief of this magnificent force has been the greatest privilege and a moment of immense pride in my life.” The Air Force Chief arrived at the venue in a vintage car from the 1960s, while three helicopters flew in a ‘flag’ formation overhead to offer a ceremonial salute.
Rafale, Sukhoi Su-30 MKI, and Jaguar fighter jets drew attention on the tarmac. The Light Combat Helicopter ‘LCH Prachand’, ‘ALH Dhruv’ helicopters, and advanced air defense missile systems were unveiled during the static display. Chiefs of the three armed services, senior military officers, and retired Air Chief Marshals participated in the event.
