Three arrested for transporting camels to Ullal illegally: 8 camels rescued

Karwar: Police have arrested three people who were transporting camels illegally in Bhatkal. 8 camels that were being transported in a lorry illegally were rescued and a case has been registered against the accused under the Karnataka Cattle Slaughter Prevention and Protection Act.

The camels were being transported in a lorry with a Maharashtra registration number. These camels were being transported illegally in a lorry from Shirali in Bhatkal to Ullal. The arrested have been identified as Karan Babar from Madhya Pradesh, Suhas Suryavanshi from Maharashtra and Yash Gotakinde. A complaint has been registered against the accused under the Karnataka Cattle Slaughter Prevention and Protection Act, 2020
