New Delhi, Oct 8: The Government of India has strongly condemned the horrific missile and drone attacks targeting two major airports in Saudi Arabia, which resulted in three deaths and injuries to dozens of people.

“Such attacks targeting civilians and public infrastructure are completely unacceptable,” stated India’s Ministry of External Affairs. India has expressed its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attacks carried out over the past few days on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport.
Details of the attacks on Saudi airports:
According to Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation, one person died and eight were injured in the attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport. In the attack on Abha International Airport, two people died and 28 were seriously injured. Vowing to exact a fitting penalty for this act by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels, the Saudi-led coalition launched counter-attacks and destroyed over 80 Houthi military bases and missile launch sites across the Saada, Hodeidah, Al-Jawf, and Marib regions of Yemen.
Attempted missile attack on Aden airport:
Attacks on aviation infrastructure in the region have intensified, with Houthi forces targeting Yemen’s Aden International Airport using ballistic missiles and drones. Reports indicate that a missile struck just moments before the arrival of a flight bound for Cairo.
The Saudi-led coalition has destroyed 82 military bases belonging to Houthi militants in Yemen. The strikes targeted missile sites, weapons depots, and control rooms in Saada, Al-Hodeidah, Al-Jawf, and Marib. Major General Turki Al-Maliki, the coalition spokesperson, warned that a fitting punishment would be meted out for the attack.
