Good Friday, Easter Background – Special train service between Bengaluru-Madgaon

Bengaluru, March 30: To reduce the extra passenger traffic in the wake of Good Friday and Easter, South Western Railway has arranged special trains between Yeshwantpur, Madgaon and Bengaluru Cantonment.

Yeshwantpur-Madgaon Special Express number 06271 will depart Yeshwantpur at 11.55 pm on April 2 and reach Madgaon at 5.30 pm on April 3.

Madgaon-Bengaluru Cantonment Special Express train number 06272 will depart Madgaon at 11 am on April 5 and reach Bengaluru Cantonment at 5.20 am on April 6.

Where will it stop?

These special trains will halt at Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, Bantwal, Suratkal, Mulki, Udupi, Barkur, Kundapur, Byndoor, Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna Road, Ankola, Karwar and Kanakona stations en route.

On the return journey, train number 06272 will not halt at Yeshwantpur station. The train will halt at SMVT Bengaluru station.
