Kampala: In a strange development, the Ugandan army chief has made a strange demand from Turkey, asking for the ‘most beautiful ‘married woman’, 1 billion dollars’.
Yes.. strange but true.. Ugandan army chief Muhuzi Kainerugaba has asked for 1 billion dollars. Not only that, he has also demanded the most beautiful Turkish woman as his wife.
Kainerugaba is said to have made these demands in return for Uganda’s long-term military contributions in Somalia to combat Islamic extremists.
Kainerugaba has warned Turkey that if Turkey fails to fulfill his demands within 30 days, it will face severe diplomatic consequences, including the closure of the Turkish embassy in the Ugandan capital Kampala and a ban on Turkish airlines from operating in its airspace.
Uganda’s army chief, General Muhuzi Kainerugaba, is the son of President Yoweri Museveni. This is why Kainerugaba wields so much power in Uganda.
Kainerugaba, the head of the Ugandan defense forces, has been benefiting from Turkey’s infrastructure deals in Somalia and port and airport operations in the country’s capital, Mogadishu.
But Uganda has shouldered the brunt of the security burden of fighting al-Qaeda affiliate and Islamist terrorist group al-Shabaab for nearly two decades through African Union operations. Turkey has asked for a “security bonus” of $1 billion and a beautiful Turkish woman to marry him.
“With $1 billion from Turkey, I want the most beautiful young woman in that country to be my wife!” Kainerugaba posted on social media.
“This is a really simple deal for Turkey, if Turkey does not resolve our issues within 30 days, we will sever our diplomatic relations with them. We will close diplomatic relations with them soon. Who needs a friend who stabs you in the back? For your own safety, he advised all Ugandans to avoid all travel to Turkey.”
