Mangaluru: College emerged as the overall champions while Canara College secured the runners-up trophy at ‘Equinox 2026- Sandhya Manthan,’ a management and cultural fest held at University College, Hampankatta. The event was organized by the MBA (IB) evening program in association with the MBA Alumni Association.

Inaugurating the valedictory ceremony and distributing prizes at the Ravindra Kala Bhavan on Saturday, Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. U.T. Khader Fareed urged students to build a bright future through academic excellence. He remarked that students should not only achieve personal success but also serve as a guiding light for their families and contribute meaningfully to the nation.

Presiding over the event, Principal Prof. Ganapathi Gowda S. emphasized that continuous effort and self-confidence are vital for success in any field. Prof. Jayavantha Nayak, advisor for the evening program, noted that while academic marks are important, professional personality and communication skills are equally essential for career growth.

Postgraduate departments advisor Prof. Aboubakkar Siddiq added that such fests are organized to showcase talent and help students develop leadership qualities and professionalism.

The event commenced with a welcome by Lecturer Rajesh Kumar and concluded with a vote of thanks by student coordinator Ahmed Shovhan. First-year MBA student Pooja compered the program.
