Kolkata, April 27: Another tragedy occurred today in an Indian train that carries crores of passengers every day. A child slipped from the train and fell out of the mother’s arms.
Yes.. This tragedy occurred on the Jalpaiguri-Ramanagar route in West Bengal. The mother was shocked and screamed as the child fell from the train. At this time, fellow passengers pulled the emergency chain of the train. But the train did not stop, and later the passengers of other coaches who were there also pulled the chain. However, the train did not stop.
The other passengers in the coach also pulled the chain continuously, but the train did not stop. It is reported that even after pulling the chain used to stop the train in an emergency, the train continued to move for about 10 to 15 kilometers.
At this time, a young man who was at the scene with no other choice called the police and RPF, but there was no immediate response. No help was received from the railway officials or the TTE. Due to this, the passengers lost control. Passengers have expressed their anger against the Railway Department.

The Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) office expressed regret over this and directed the concerned officials to conduct a detailed inquiry into the incident. Similarly, a technical inspection is being conducted to find out why the train did not stop even though the passengers pulled the emergency chain. Normally, when the chain is pulled, the air pressure in the brake pipe should decrease and the train should stop, but in this case, the cause of its failure is being investigated.
