Dakshina Kannada, May 12: Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple, a famous Nagaradhana Kshetra under the Muzrai Department of the state, located in Subrahmanya in Kadaba taluk, has once again attracted attention by earning huge income in the financial year 2025-26.
From April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026, the temple earned a total income of ₹167.89 crore, of which ₹85.20 crore was spent. This has recorded an additional income of about ₹12 crore, exceeding the income of ₹155 crore in the last year 2024-25. This temple has maintained the No. 1 position in earning the highest income among the Muzrai temples in the state for the 15th consecutive year.

It is special that this year the temple has recorded an income of more than ₹167 crore for the first time. The temple’s major sources of income include offering services, donation hundi, e-hundi, rent of buildings and shops, rent of chhatras, income from agricultural plantations and interest from various investments.

Continuous growth: Income growth path
The Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple has been achieving continuous income growth for the last two decades. The temple, which had an income of only ₹19.76 crore in 2006-07, increased to ₹24.44 crore in 2007-08, joining the list of major temples in the state.

This holy place, which has emerged as the highest income-generating Muzrai temple in the state for the last 14 years, has consolidated its position this year as well. Retaining the No. 1 position for the 15th consecutive year indicates the temple’s management system, increasing number of devotees and the strength of religious beliefs.

Overall, Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple has once again proven its importance as a major religious center in the state through its financial stability, immense support from devotees and improved administrative measures.
