Aaraga Gyanendra said he was shocked to see this incident

Former Home Minister Aaraga Gyanendra spoke to the media in Shivamogga about the case and said, “I am shocked to see this incident. The chaos in the prisons in the state needs to be rectified. When I was the Home Minister, prisoners had a party in the Bangalore Central Jail. I suspended and punished the officers immediately after this incident. During the three and a half years of the Congress government, it seems that no one has spoken or listened. The Home Department has completely failed,” he said.

Attacking Home Minister Priyank Kharge, Aaraga Gyanendra said, “The Congress government has not bothered about prison reforms. They are doing everything else except their department. The Home Department should be handed over to someone else, otherwise the Home Minister should handle it competently. The peace and order in the state will completely deteriorate.

Prisoners are living a luxurious life in prisons. Drugs, deadly weapons and pistols are being found in the jail. This is a big stain on Karnataka, the government needs to wake up. Minister Priyank Kharge should take strict action, otherwise Priyank should resign from the ministerial post.”
