Bengaluru, May 13: Famous Kannada film actor Dilip Raj has passed away due to a heart attack. Dilip Raj suffered a severe heart attack while he was at home in the early hours of today. He was 47 years old.
He was immediately taken to the hospital, but by then his life had already passed away. Many in the film industry and fans are mourning the death of Dilip Raj.
Dilip Raj’s film career
Dilip Raj’s journey in Kannada film industry began as a lead actor with the film Boyfriend released in 2005. He gained more recognition after the film Milana, in which he acted with the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar in 2007.
Dilip Raj then acted in more than 20 films. His latest film, Love Mocktail 3, was directed by Darling Krishna. The film was released in theaters on March 16.
Dilip Raj had made his mark on television as well as film. His performance in the serial Hitler Kalyana brought him household popularity and established him as a renowned actor in the Kannada entertainment industry.
He had produced the serials ‘Paaru’ and ‘Na Ninna Bidalare’. After the death of actor Dilip Raj, film artists and film lovers expressed their grief over his last post on Instagram. In January 2025, he shared the poster of his film You Are Responsible for Your Things. Although the film received good reviews, it failed to attract the audience.
