Kolkata, Aug 05: The court expressed this view while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed challenging the government’s notification making it mandatory to sing the entire six stanzas of the national anthem ‘Vande Mataram’ in madrasas.
The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday orally expressed its opinion that “the sky will not fall” if all six stanzas of the song ‘Vande Mataram’ are sung in madrasas.
The court expressed this view while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed challenging the government’s notification making it mandatory to sing the entire six stanzas of the national anthem ‘Vande Mataram’ in madrasas.
A bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Tapabrata Chakraborty and Justice Partha Sarathi Sen conducted the hearing.
