Abu Dhabi’s BAPS Hindu Temple Wins Prestigious ‘Tolerance Award’

Abu Dhabi: The famous BAPS Hindu Temple in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi has won the prestigious international “Tolerance Award 2026”. The award was given in recognition of the temple’s significant contribution to promoting harmony, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence globally.

The award was officially announced at the recently held ‘Third International Dialogue on Civilization and Tolerance Conference (IDCT 2026). This Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi has not only remained a place of worship, but has also emerged as a symbol of global unity in the Gulf countries.

Cultural programs like ‘Festival of Harmony’ and ‘Omsiat’ organized by the temple are bringing people of different religions and cultures together. The services of Janapada Karunya organized by the temple in times of distress and global crises are appreciated globally.

Receiving the award on behalf of the temple, Brahmavihari Swamiji gave a very enlightening message on the future of family, religion and technology.

In these days of rapid growth of artificial intelligence, man should further strengthen his moral values and family ties. Every family should spend some time of the day away from digital distractions like mobile and internet and sit together in prayer and loving conversation with each other (Ghar Sabha). He emphasized that we need families filled with culture and values, not just families filled with technology.

This honor bestowed upon the BAPS temple, which is progressing under the divine guidance of Mahant Swami Maharaj, is yet another victory for Indian culture in spreading world peace, compassion, and human brotherhood across the globe.
