Toledo, Oct 28: A horrific collision between two high-speed trains occurred this morning near the city of Toledo, Spain, resulting in the deaths of 46 people.

More than 200 people have been injured. Local media have reported that the number of casualties is still being assessed, and there are fears that the death toll could rise further. Videos and photos circulating on social media reveal the severity of the accident, showing train carriages that derailed and were left shattered.
Given the gravity of the incident, the railway infrastructure operator ‘Adif’ has completely suspended services on the major high-speed rail line connecting Madrid and Andalusia. The Spanish government has ordered a high-level investigation to determine the exact cause of the tragedy.
