Mumbai, Aug 11: Famous singer Sonu Nigam has won the hearts of millions of fans with his melodious voice. But a video he shared recently has surprised and worried his fans. Sonu Nigam himself has shared a video on social media in which he is singing while lying on the operation table while undergoing surgery.

What happened in the operation theatre?
Sonu Nigam has sung the song ‘Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki’ from the movie ‘Dulari’ (1949) by late veteran singer Mohammed Rafi very melodiously. As this video went viral, fans were worried about what happened to him. Sonu Nigam, who has clarified this, has undergone surgery on the ring finger of his left hand.
What is the reason for singing the song?
Explaining why he sang during the surgery, he said, ‘It happened spontaneously. Dr. Nilesh Satbhai, who was performing the surgery on me, was a fan of mine and used to play my songs during the operation. At that time, only the music of Mohammed Rafi’s songs came on and the track without vocals was played. Hearing that, I started singing myself.’
The medical team also expressed happiness when they saw a patient singing like this during the surgery. Sonu Nigam, who sang about 2-3 songs for the doctor, had advised him to record this rare moment as a memory. He said that he posted it on social media only after the doctor recorded and sent it.
How is his health?
Sonu Nigam said that although he had undergone surgery for the same problem four months ago, it has recurred again. ‘This may be related to the arthritis problem in my bones. The current treatment is over and we have to wait and see about the next stage,’ he shared information about his health.
